Ohio Sea Grant Twitter

I took over Ohio Sea Grant’s Twitter account full-time in January 2020 after the departure of our Digital Outreach Specialist, and managed it full-time until November 2022. During this time, I consistently maintained growth and engagement by posting not just information that we want our audiences to know, but also information our audiences want to know from us. In addition, scheduling of ongoing hashtag campaigns like #WhySeaGrant - a hashtag I created for our 40th anniversary that made it into the national Sea Grant office’s communications plan - helps us re-use older content in new ways and makes it easier to maintain a daily post schedule.

Within the first three months of taking on the account, I was able to increase profile visits by 34% and more than tripled the number of impressions our content received.
