An estimated 10,000 tons of plastic pollution enter the Great Lakes each year. This talk will cover what we know about plastic in the Great Lakes, some science-based solutions, and ways to engage the public in reducing their plastics consumption.

This annual conference provides updates on Lake Erie fisheries, regulations and business practices to Ohio charter captains.

We couldn’t have an in-person meeting, but there was still plenty of important information delivered virtually. This 1.5-hr webinar featured Ohio Sea Grant Extension, ODNR Division of Wildlife and the Lake Erie Charter Boat Association. Speakers addressed the 2020 fishing outlook, explained management of Lake Erie fisheries, and announced the Ohio Charter Captain of the Year Award.
